Help required Indicator problem

The indicators (flashers) suddenly decided to go super fast the other day. This applies to both LH and RH and also the hazards.

No bulbs have been changed. Both relays click a lot. I have checked all the earths on the lamps and are fine. Your help would be welcome.

Hi Nick - I had a very similar problem with my '75 930. The issue I traced from memory to the small circular black relay which sat in the rear of the boot area, just ahead of the offside/instrument binnacle on the boot side of the bulkhead, behind the carpet and cover. This was the same relay as the fuel control relays in the small electrical panel on the nearside edge of the engine compartment. I just swapped the relays over and the problem went away, proving it was a faulty relay not a bulb (or bulb holder) issue. It was a while ago but I think the relays were fairly cheap and widely available off parts factors, I sourced some from Ebay along with a few spares, just in case. Good luck!!!
