Maybe looking to buy

Hello

I have seen a 2004 3.2 v6 Tiptronic S Cayenne not too far away from me, at what seems to be a good price so I am tempted. Its done 125k miles.

I don't know too much about these cars other than they are VW based, but is there a buyers's guide someone could direct me to?

I don't do many miles, so don't want a car that will sit on the drive but still cost me a fortune in repairs. Do they have an electronic handbrake, and air suspension? I would prefer without if that were possible.

Are there any key weak points?

Thanks in advance.

Wouldn’t if I were you - there’s a reason many Cayennes are a ‘good price’, in my opinion...

Hello again

The car that I had seen close to me that looked nice, I ended up missing, which I think on reflection was a shame

But I've decided the Cayenne is for me, so I have been researching and looking in more detail.

They seem pretty bullet proof, from what I have read. But there doesn't seem to be that much information about them on the internet

I was thinking I would go for an early 3.2v6 as it would be cheaper to run, and I understand that is a VW engine. I haven't read that there are any inherent problems with that engine, unless anyone can tell me otherwise. Am I discounting the V8 unnecessarily? I think that is a Porsche engine? That seems bullet proof, provided the coolant pipes have been changed from the plastic ones

I believe a lose propshaft can be repaired with a clamp

So provided I can find one that has been looked after (easier said than done), is there not that much to look out for?
