Hi does any body no the list price of next year 718 models. Have just seen all the standard equipment that is been added. which is normally extra Regards Glenn

Glenn,

I think you'll find that the current UK Porsche Configurator specs and prices are for MY2021.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. But it can not be 2021 prices as equipment that is going to be standard spec can still be added at extra cost. And no PDK option Which is going to be available from late this year. Also why is PDK going to be a cost option when it is free on the 992 Regards Glenn

Assume your looking at either a Spyder, GT4 or a 4.0 GTS?
If so the pdk versions have not been released yet, until they are they won't show on the configurator.

Glenn,

When the Configurator is revised there are sometimes initial errors, but I think that you'll find it's actually showing the latest standard UK spec and prices for MY2021. I think Python Green has been added to the option list, heated seats are now a standard fitment across the range and the tyre sealing compound with air compressor is now an option (stingy!), plus there are revisions to the interior trim options on the GTS.

Presumably owing to supply problems no manual transmission option is available on the 2.0L base and T Caymans at the moment, although both manual and PDK are available on the Cayman S. As Geoff points out the PDK transmission isn't available on the GT4 and CGTS 4.0 right now, although it can be spec'd in the US and I suspect that it should become available for ROW in due course. Again, it's most likely a supply issue.

PDK is an expensive £2k option which has never been a standard fitment on the mid-engine cars and will still be a cost option on the GT4/Spyder and GTS when it arrives. It's easier to absorb the additional PDK cost in the much more expensive 992 range which will have been developed with the semi-auto 'box as the standard fitment whereas I'm sure the Boxster and Cayman will have been developed with the manual 'box as standard.

Thankyou both for your reply. It is a Boxster GTS with PDK I am looking at ordering. Have a test drive booked with opc. Soon as they get one in. Just hoping it does not disappoint on the sound. And is at least on par with my 981 with pse. The main reason I did not get 2.5t GTS when they came out. Sounded to me just like my scooby I had back in the day. Regards Glenn.

Don't get too fixated on the sound Glenn, although possibly it's slightly more of an issue on the ragtop than on the fixed-head Cayman. Compared with your 981 with PSE it's going to sound more grown-up, without the Rice Krispies soundtrack [you can thank the latest emissions and noise regulations for that], but there'll be a lot more power on tap together with significant chassis and steering improvements.

A good idea to try-before-you-buy ... a man after my own heart.!

Jeff
