I have a set of 18" Macan wheels with winter tyres for sale as the Macan has been moved on. Details are:
18" Macan 8Z8 Brilliant Silver

Front Wheels: 8Jx18 ET21
Rear Wheels: 9Jx18 ET21
Tyres are Continental Winter Contact TS830P
Front 235/60/R18 103V N0 Dates - OSF 3218 NSF 3218
Rear 255/55/R18 105V N0 Dates - OSR 3918 NSR 3718
Just 2516 miles from brand new in November 2019 from an OPC.
When they came off the car this spring they were washed, polished, waxed and paint sealed so they look fantastic and are ready to rock and roll this winter.
They can be swapped at home or at any garage as you only need to tell the TPS that you have switched to 18" winter wheels and the systems do the rest for you (so no dealer visit required).
My photos are too large to upload so you can email me at an old address of plselling@btinternet.com and I will send photos and the asking price.
Collection only.
Many thanks

You can have them collected and delivered to your doorstep anywhere in UK for less than 40 quid too! [:)]
Regards,

Clive

Hello Patrick

Yes they are available. Check with a dealer that they will fit yours (I don't see why not). If they are ok and you would like to discuss further then email me on plselling@btinternet.com and I can send you the price and discuss the merits of collection or delivery.

Patrick,

I am also a Gen 2 Macan Turbo owner, and I was very doubtful that the 18" wheels would be compatible with your car. Being a Macan newbie, not a Porsche newbie by any means, I know how brake calliper clearances and offsets vary considerably between model evolutions.

Thank you, I spoke to an OPC parts department who were very helpful and said that I should only look at wheels off a 2019 or later vehicle, clearly there has been a change. Most annoying as there are some well priced offerings on eBay at the moment!

I may have to bite the bullet and buy new which I am reluctant to do.

I love the car though and am sure you feel the same way.

Patrick

Absolutely Patrick.

I am also contemplating biting the bullet and buying a second set of 20" Macan Turbo wheels from my OPC. My plan is to source the winter tyres, Michelin Alpin 5, from my local Michelin tyre specialist. I reckon I shall get a better deal buying the wheels, less PCGB discount, and then purchasing the tyres separately, rather than as a T-equipment package. This also gives me the choice of getting my preferred tyres at a competitive price from my local Michelin supplier.

Brian

I am told that 18” wont fit on a turbo due to the discs.

Brian - re tyres don’t forget the cash back from Pirelli!

Let me know how you get on with your decision.

Patrick,

I am eligible for £100 cash back from Michelin for 4 new tyres.

If I can get Alpin 5, N-rated tyres for my Macan that is my preference. I have previous experience of the Pirelli Sottozero winter tyres on a Cayman which proved excellent.

I'll be posting the outcome of the wheel/tyre enquiry on my own thread later.

Brian

18" rims will definitely not fit the Turbo due to brake size. 19" rims are needed for both space-saver and winter tyres.

Also, I am informed by my PC that 18" rims for a Macan 1 will not fit Macan 2 anyway due to offset differences. I have Macan 1 winter rims, but no Macan 2 vehicle to try them on!

Brian, you can often negotiate advantageous winter rim/tyre set deals. On a couple of occasions, I have purchase a winter set just to get the rims, since it was much cheaper than buying bare rims - so the tyres came free! Just a thought!

Regards,

Clive

Thanks Clive, I'll bear that in mind. I'm currently researching quotes from OPC's on the wheels only deal.

I'll be posting back the results of my deliberations on my own thread when the facts are known.

Brian

The 18"rims will definitely fit a Macan turbo 1 as I had them fitted on my car with no problem at all. Not sure about Macan 2.

They won't fit a Turbo but I think there is no difference in Gen 1 or 2 18's. Will fit on a Macan and S Gen 2. I am sure the OPC's are trying to sell wheels.

The Macan Turbo Gen 2 has the larger Porsche Carbide-Tungsten Coated brake discs and 6-pot callipers as a standard fitment.

The 18" alloys will not fit this model.

Brian

Brian. As I previously acknowledged they wouldn't fit a Turbo but they are a cost effective winter option for a Macan or S on standard discs and callipers. And there are a few available on the various web sites.

I don't know about 18" wheels on Turbo but I did have a set of 19" wheels with winter tyres on my Turbo (November 2017). They are currently advertised in the 'For Sale' forum

I have just put my winter wheel set up for sale 18" wheels with continental tyres and NO rated on this site.
As I have previously stated they will fit the Turbo model Mk1 provided it has not got the ceramic brakes or its the Turbo pp.
I had them on my Turbo and the previous owner had them on there turbo too. There is a few people on here that state they will not fit the Turbo but I can 100% state they will with no problems at all.
I had my porsche in the main dealers last year with the winter tyre set on and they couldn't understand by the website says the Turbo needs 19" wheels.

The offset is different on the current model year Macan so wheels off an older car are not advised. The current Turbo can accept 19” which is what I shall fit when I get round to it and if there is a chance of getting to the Alps this winter....
