New MOT Advisories

Never had 2 or 3 on any car, let alone my 2009 Boxster.

undershield hide a lot from the MoT man, but they are not allowed to move them.

As to inner brake pads, he only needs an old rear view mirror...

Can anyone care to comment on the following MOR advisories (from 8/7/20). (S18 BOX)
  1. spoiler indicator illuminated (not on during the drive home this morning).
  2. cannot see inner brake pads
  3. under trays fitted
Are other Boxster receiving the same comments (2, 3) now?

The MOT was carried out at the MOT centre who conducted last year's MOT and they were not listed then?

Once the horns were replaced an MOT Pass was issued for a year.
I would appreciate any advice on what needs to be done, other go to a different MOT centre next year.

Thanks.

MOT man is just really making you aware that he hasn't been able to check certain testable items. I am always told that the engine cover is obscuring him being able to check the brake pipes for rust etc.

had the undertrays thing on a previous one but not lately - so doesn't seem to happen at all MOT centres

the spoiler thing sounds like someone's bumped the switch while testing and it's reset itself when you used it again

but that 'can't see inner brake pads' thing sounds a bit daft.

...think you might have got the trainee when your's went in this time... [8|]

Good evening. Thank you for the comments most illuminating. After reading more on the web concerning advisories and by looking at the information on the dvla page where it states "Advisories are given for guidance. Some of these may need to be monitored in case they become more serious and need immediate repairs." I can deal with the brake pads and shall continue to monitor the spoiler light which is ok at the moment, but sort of ignore the under trays comment.
