Well, it is with a heavy heart I am thinking of selling my beloved 1969 LWB 2.0 911T. I have been a PCGB member since 1984 and have owned this car since 2004, bought by myself from California and shipped, reg etc by me. Only 85k miles from new (believed genuine). All original interior. Bare metal respray about 7 years ago. Deep 6 Fuchs (original steel wheels included). Brand new Pirelli Cinturatos. Original USA dealer invoice and handbook included. Original USA plates. Tons of paperwork (USA and UK), original sales brochure, all our Goodwood Revival programmes, Silverstone 50 years, etc, etc. Had some great times in this car esp when the kids were little and could fit in the back. It is not getting used as it should, our kids don't drive, so I am thinking someone else should enjoy it. Just putting this out there to get some feedback, not advertised anywhere at the moment.

Sounds like you have a good history file with the car and long term ownership by yourself. These are both positives of course. You don't say if the vehicle is "matching numbers", which if it is, would enhance the value. Also is it in its original colour or had any restoration, apart from a repaint?
You may know already that selling prices for early 911s started to soften in 2018 and this has not abated except for very original matching numbers cars with excellent and comprehensive history. Covid has not helped sales also.
If you are thinking of an SOR sale through someone please take extra care. There have been three well publicised companies who specialised in Porsche and SOR who have gone into bankruptcy, were involved in fraud, and left many people without being paid for cars "sold".
You might join DDK-Online, if you have not done so already; which will not cost you. If you are not familiar with DDK it is a digital only group for enthusiasts of aircooled cars. You can place an advert for free. Introduce yourself first before placing an advert or asking for information. Good luck.

Really could not agree more to the above post.
DDK will try to give you really down to earth advice.
The audience is very early car orientated indeed.
Graham.

Thank you Kirk, the car has been on a few DKK runs in their early days, lots of fun. I havent been on their forum for a long time, I'll take a look. Car is matching numbers and original Irish Green. Thanks for the heads up on the SOR, awful if people lost their cars that way.
