Drive Out Sunday 5th July 10am *Update*

*Update*

To comply with PCGB rules we can only drive in groups of up to 6 cars. This means that if there are more than 6 cars meeting up we will have to do a staggered start to the drive out with a 15 minute delay between groups leaving the start point. This also means that it is highly advised that you download/print the route before arriving Sunday morning.

Other regions have been reported for not following these rules.

This car park (CV23 0WE) is the start and end point for the drive out (there is a Tesco Superstore with petrol station at CV21 1RG).
There is a photo opportunity stop after 1 hour and a cafe stop (takeaway) after a further 30 minutes.
The route will take in part of the M6/A14 East bound to the A6 exit, then it will get interesting. There will be a mixture of A, B and single track roads with a couple of cattle grids thrown in for comedy value. Some of you know how and where I like to drive so that should explain it nicely, for others your car might get a bit mucky, you may have to reverse to let traffic pass, you might find the roads a bit narrow. The total drive time should be about 2h 15mins with extra for coffee.

What time at the bottom of the hill in Rockingham on the way out. Watch out for the speed camera. 30 as you go down from the roundabout. Norman.

Sunday 5th.

It should take us about 30 minutes to get to Rockingham. There will be another group following about 15 minutes later. See main post for explanation.
