Maurice - Thank you

I've just seen Mark Hamilton's email saying Maurice has resigned. I just wanted to say a big personal thank-you to Maurice for being such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable helping hand at getting me into, and supporting, my 993 ownership. I don't know how long he has been register secretary but he was already doing it back in 2005 when I started looking for a 993 and he was always quick to fire back advice whenever I asked. I don't know where I'd have ended up if Maurice had not been there to point me in the right direction. He also organized some great technical meetings - the highlight for me was the rolling road meet at 9M in Warrington where about 15 cars were put through their paces and adjusted live as we all looked on.

Thank you

I think there might be a few more of these coming Maurice!

You always seem to have been there with advice, guidance and help since I bought my 993 many years ago, and I also wish to say a personal thank you. Hope to catch up again at some time in the future.

All the very best, Shane.

I concur with the above, many thanks Maurice for the work you have done.
You have been a great help over the years.
Cheers.
Barry

Fully agree with Mark, we both purchased our 993's at the same time and were asking similar questions.
Thank you for your assistance and help Maurice.

Regards....JB

Sorry to see you go Maurice, your knowledge and experience will be soorly missed.

You were always one who could be relied on to say things as they were rather than hide in the background. You stood up for yourself and others too.

We had our ups and downs over the years, but we never took that too far. It is just a car club after all.

Good luck and safe driving.

Likewise, sorry to see you go, Maurice. Your 993 knowledge and enthusiasm over these years has been a great asset to the Club... I wish you well and hope to see you again at some future event somewhere when we’ll all get the chance to enjoy our passion for Porsche together.

I've had my 993 Targa 17 years this Oct and still remember the 993 trip to 9M for Dyno Runs. I met up with Maurice and drove up in convoy together. Was a great day there and some very interesting results which are still here on a pinned Post
Last few events with the 25th Anniversary Garden Party at Richard & Liz was a great day out with fellow 993 owners and the Tech Seminar at Porsche Swindon was incredible and very informative even after all these years of owning my 993
Always a fountain of knowledge that will be sadly missed. He was a great asset to the club and a real shame he resigned. Will be hard to replace

Graham

As been said above in many posts above sorry to hear yet another stalwart of the club has stepped down after many years of support for his 993 members and the club.
All the best Maurice.

Maurice

Just to say thank you for running the Register with such enthusiasm for so many years.

Time to sit back and enjoy the club from a different viewpoint.

Enjoy!

Maurice

Thank you for your many years as 993 Register Secretary and the many occasions over the years where we have joined the 993 display and thoroughly enjoyed the events with like minded enthusiasts. You will be missed at the helm and hopefully we will see you for a catch when the show season eventually ticks in.

A very big thank you from us and our 993 C4S

Graham & Mandy
