Hi Ray,

contrary to popular belief this is not a Club run event. This has been posted on the event website and facebook page as you already know. Their response is very much in keeping with all the major event organisers such as Goodwood for the Members Meetring and Festival of Porsche. When the UK knows what the new normal looks like everything will get starting again and we'll find out more.

'Classics at The Castle response to the Covid-19 Pandemic

Due to the current crisis surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and in line with the UK Government advice, we are announcing a postponement of the upcoming event on May the 17th

We would like to thank you all in advance for your understanding, support and patience during these challenging times.

Please be assured that once the pandemic is suppressed, we will update you with an alternative date and we would like to reassure you that your tickets will remain valid for the new date. However in the event you can not attend the new date, a refund of the full amount will be issued by Hedingham Castle.

This decision is consistent with the recent advice given by the Government to avoid non-essential travel, non-essential social contact, and to avoid gatherings by minimising time in public places.

The situation will be actively monitored and further updates will be sent in due course.

Stay safe and Keep the Faith!

Kind Regards

Thank you Nick, for taking time to come back to me.

I have my own views about this "we will update you with an alternative date and we would like to reassure you that your tickets will remain valid for the new date" surly we should have the choice to have a refund now, I have about 5 events book through this year, most of which are either not saying anything or as HC have done, fingers crossed these events don't go under with our ticket fees.
