Help! Tiptronic reversing switch

Hi as we in lockdown decided to tackle a reversing light issue, it comes on when the car is in neutral, I’ve decided to remove central console to find this, is the switch missing? and the two cut white wires? Help I’m confused!
 
Hello - I am not familiar, but that looks like a switch in your picture. If you press the lever does the reversing light come on?
No idea on the cut wire except someone may have tried to take a live feed for something in the past - strange place to do that from tho..

H,i I’ve attached an image of another car to my reply, the switch is the large off white box, thing is I don’t have a wiring loom to attach to it anyway so I’m thinking it must be under the car, I’ve heard that prefacelift 996’s switches are under the car.
