Nick,

I am not sure whether you are wondering if it was more or less. Maybe having turned it around in just over one working day is a function of good planning and preparedness.

The book time is 6 hours, so the Centre won't get paid for more than that. Almost a day's work for the tech, so it sounds as though the powertrain has to be dropped either partially or completely to gain access to the bank 2 fuel line.

I asked that question and was told they do not have to drop the engine but they do need to dismantle quite a lot of ancillaries to do the job.

Gosh! That's a lot of dismantling and reassembly Geoff ... must be a tight fit in there, but at least it's all nice and clean.

Hope everything goes well with the fuel line replacement. Have you manged to resolve the collection issue?

I drove mine 140 miles after collecting it from the recall work and no rattles or fire!  Now 925 miles so will be over 1,000 when I get to splash around on track next Saturday.

I’m picking my new one up on the 5th March, I contacted the OPC to check if they’d heard anything about this recall and they claimed they knew nothing. I’m hoping this was sorted by the January build

The fact that the supplying Centre hasn't heard anything about such a safety-critical recall is very concerning Jose.

Hopefully the problem was tracked before your car was built, but I'd be inclined to keep up the pressure on the Centre for clarification. I believe that quite a few cars were held back for rectification before being delivered to the Centres.

"Hope springs eternal" But actually you can check your VIN

Also on Page 1 of this thread is the recall letter I received so between the VIN Look Up and recall letter you should be able to have a sensible conversation with your Centre.

Which Centre is it?

Jeff and Ralph
thanks for this and your helpful advice. I have the vin already so I checked on the link and all seems clear, thankfully. Mine ends in 297 so perhaps a later build date.

OPC was Hatfield but that may be down to the individual more than the centre.
