Hi folks, I'm considering a 911. I'm really pretty keen on one. I occasionally would need more luggage space. Is it possible to fit a roof rack on the new 911-992 coupe?
I'm thinking about a 911 4 or 4S.

My local dealer was uncertain but was more of the opinion it's not possible. I also cant see any option under the Tequipment web page.
I'm really hoping it's possible. Any help or if you can sign post me to where I can find help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks Colin
PS I even see on this page a 911 with a roof rack. However maybe it's a 911-991?

The photo in the link is a 992 so it must be possible
Hi that’s correct. I was sent this by dealer. They advised that the roof rack has only just come out for a 992.
Worth adding I think you will only be able to fit one if you ordered a 992 with either a glass or metal electric sunroof. If you click on the "I” in the configurator on either of the 2 sunroof options you will see it’s says in text under the sunroof image "Outwards-opening electric slide/tilt steel sunroof with wind deflector, incl. preperation for roof transportation system”

The line "incl. preperation for roof transportation system” is I think a key bit of information. Hence why one imagines it’s necessary to order a sunroof to get "preperation for roof transportation system”

Unless it’s to reassure someone fitting a sunroof that they will still be able to fit one however I suspect it’s the latter & you need a sunroof in order to have the prerequisite " preperation for roof transportation system” fitting
