Locksmith for spare key?

Can anyone recommend a locksmith in the region (or W Mids) who can produce a spare key for a 1980 911 SC - that is it's a purely old school mechanical no electronics jobbie.

I have only the one key and that's asking for trouble when I lose it or break it. Our local Timsons have produced a key which kinda fits with a lot of patient persuasion, but I'd like to get a decent one or two spares before I lose the original.

Thanks.

I have just bought 2 blank keys for my 911SC on EBAY, item number 370251287568 for the ridiculously cheap £4.99.  (More than 10 available in the listing).  They have yet to arrive and will have a better idea when they do come.  You might wish to take a look. www.ebay.co.uk.

A replacement key might be obtained from any hardware shop, locksmith, or, of course, the automobile dealership. However, the convenience with which a new replacement key could be created also made it simple for a burglar to take your automobile. It is preferable to obtain a spare key now, on your terms, rather than stressing out and spending the money in an emergency. By programming the key yourself, you may take advantage of the cost-cutting solutions available here and eliminate labor expenses. You can ask them Locksmith work with quality if they are able to replicate your key and send it to you via post.

Only just seen this post. proper Spare keys for all models are available through porsche dealerships. At very reasonable prices they will even get them cut for you.  In the past i have got keys for 356, early 911, 964 and a 914.

don’t forget to claim your PCGB discount . Nearly all spare parts and handbooks are available Via Porsche, they are very keen to keep the classics being driven.

There are different types of locksmiths, so when searching for one, it's important which type you need exactly. There are eight popular types of locksmith positions, and each one does different types of jobs. In your case, I think it's easier to search for one on a platform where locksmiths post their announcements. Or to contact a company that hires multiple locksmiths. I did a spare key for my current care last year, and I contacted a company that helped me with everything I needed, so I suggest you do the same.
