Tiptronic gearbox

Hi all, I have a 2005 2.7 tiptronic. When the car is stone cold and I first pull away the change between 1st and 2nd is done with a slight surge or jump, after this everything is fine. I've owned for 2 years and I've even done a gearbox oil and filter change but no different. Its not bad but noticeable. Does anyone else have this? I have also noticed it stays in 2nd when stopped at a junction, again is this normal?

They pull away in 2nd it's an economy thing but if you put your foot down hard it will jump into 1st gear for a faster get away.
