Removing/replacement of instrument pod

I need to change the instrument cluster on my 996 (mph to kph speedo). I have looked in the technical articles, tried a further search of the forum and made a request of the register secretary without success. Any advice (step by step instructions would be marvellous) and any pitfalls would be most appreciated.

Hi David
I assume you mean your post of Jan 1st see below.

As advised in my reply it’s fairly easy and straightforward to remove the pod itself, just attached by two screws as per the You-tube link i attached to your previous thread.
Do you just want to replace the Speedo face with a KPH one? if so again lots of info on Rennlist.com or there are companies out there who will do it for you.

The digital readout is then changed to KPH via turning the time knob to the left for a few seconds.
Good luck
Andy.
