Slot Car Event – Sunday 23rd February
We have an opportunity to visit the north Watford Stanboro Scalex Club. The details from the club chairman are as follows:

The plexy track layout is Ninco, of 6 lanes and 132ft in length. The track power can be adjusted/varied to suit the skills of the 'drivers'. The model cars that will be used are 1/32nd scale Porsche 997's.
These will not have magnets as is usual for homeset Scalextric type models. Magnets actively 'stick' them to the metal power rails of the track, so driving these models requires similar skill as per a full size road car ! Braking is dynamic/electronic, and again just like a real car.

The plan is to meet at the venue at 9.30am when we will have an hour’s practice followed by racing, aiming to finish at about 1.00pm. The cost will be £10 per head which will include refreshments.

If you would like to attend please drop an email to r21@porscheclubgb.com with your full name and the registration of the car that you will be attending in, which will be required to access the secure site.

Good news! the slot car event now has 20 competitors registered and on that basis will definitely go ahead. We may even get a few more. More details to follow direct to those who have registered.
