Region 5 - Forthcoming Events & New Venues For 2020

New Year = New Venues
After many years of using The Deanwater Hotel as our regular meeting place we have decided to re-locate to the Stanneylands Hotel in Wilmslow in the New Year. Our first Club night of 2020 will be held there on the 8th January.

In addition, our annual New Year dinner will be held at the Pinewood Hotel in Handforth. Details for joining us and booking the dinner can be found below.

Wednesday 8th January, 2020 - Club night - Noggin and Natter
An informal evening in our new meeting venue The Stanneylands Hotel, Stanneylands Road, Wilmslow SK9 4EY. As usual, the meeting will start at 8:00pm. Members who like to enjoy a meal first do please come and join us in the Pantry restaurant from 7:00pm.
Saturday 18th January - New Year Dinner at Pinewood Hotel
Having listened to the members feedback, the Region 5 organising Committee are excited to announce that our Annual New Year dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday the 8th January at a new venue in the Tatton Suite at the The Pinewood Hotel, 180 Wilmslow Road, Handforth, Wilmslow SK9 3LF.

The festivities will start with a pre-dinner gathering at 7:30pm, a three-course meal will be served from 8:00pm, followed by tea/coffee and mince pies. Afterwards there will be a raffle and a disco for those who would like to dance into the night to work off their dinner – all for a bargain price of only £28 per person.

If you would like to join us for the dinner, do please contact Allan Crosby as soon as possible by email at: or you can contact me and we will arrange to send you the menu and booking / payment details so that you can pre order your meal.
For those who would like to stay over at the hotel, 10 rooms have been reserved provisionally; if you would like to book one of these, they are available at a discounted rate of £70 for double occupancy, or £60 for single occupancy, including bed and breakfast, please book directly with the hotel as soon as possible.

The evening is about enjoying the good company of your fellow members and the party atmosphere, so please let Allan Crosby know if you would like to attend, along with your menu choices, as soon as possible.
The regional organising committee would like to take this opportunity to wish all Region 5 members a very happy Christmas and New Year. We have a fabulous diary of events planned for 2020 and look forward to seeing you soon.
Best wishes,
Martin Davis
