replacement bulbs

The headlights on my 996.2 are so poor I struggle to see the road at night. Could someone recommend a good bulb replacement as the cost of changing the complete unit is astronomical. Appreciate your time in responding.

I replaced mine with Osram Night Breaker bulbs - they seem to be better than the ones that were in there before. Worth a shot...

I also found Osram Nightbreaker bulbs a very great improvement (although I was comparing them with the previous bulbs of a brand I had never heard of and they were truly pathetic). Definitely worth a try.

Very straightforward and I believe shown in owners manual. Better check what bulbs are required first as I think the dipped and high beam are different from MY2002.

Yes, very simple to replace the bulbs and the user manual shows the exact steps needed. For the dipped headlights it's the H7s I believe, but again the manual provides all the info.

Thanks for the replies, I will have a go replacing these over the weekend and post a reply to the outcome.
Thanks again

If you're not bothered too much about lifespan, Philips Racing Vision are the way to go.

They're easy enough to replace, and are as bright as you could expect to achieve.

Lifespan is lower than normal though.
Its the usual trade off of brightness vs longevity
