Hello,
I have just got a 1998 Boxster 2.5 & looking to increase my knowledge. As I am going to run it through winter, I realise that it is important to keep the drains clear. My trombone brush was delivered today but before I use it in anger could someone recommend the best idiots guide.
Thanks
Chris

Have a look on Boxa.net - anything you want to know about Boxsters can be found on there .

Hi Chris.

Welcome to PCGB and congratulations on your Boxster.

Why not Email our Technical Boxster advisor and Porsche Specialist.

steve@jazweb.co.uk

He is a professional who has probably done this many times.

Enjoy your car. [:D]

Cliff.

Thanks Gary, the plan is to use the Boxster while my 993 is tucked away. The idea of having a convertible as a winter car appealed to me. The bonus is my wife really likes the Boxster - she only drove our 993 a couple of times.

I spent an interesting hour this morning with the trombone brush & a syringe to do squirt tests. Four successful puddles on the drive, but I can still only find two drain holes up front & those were not easy to locate due to bits in the way.

Another discovery was some minor tear damage to the foam liner under the clam shell. Anyone have any suggestions for the best repair method - gaffer tape?

The fun continues.

Chris
