hi Colin

Welcome to PCGB.

You may have been allocated to North West Region - Region 5, due to Cornbury House allocating you by Post Code, rather than Lancashire - Region 18.

Please e-mail me at R18@porscheclubgb.com and I will send you an events calendar, and details and booking forms etc. for some other events in December

We have a couple of events coming up in November

20th November - Monthly Meeting at Porsche Centre, Bolton, starting at 18.30 Please let me know if you are interested and I will add you to the list

Friday 29th - Go Kart night at Bamber Bridge, near Preston

Hi Colin,

Welcome to Porsche Club GB, its great to have another 992 owner join the club. I really like the 992 in Crayon, how long have you had yours? There is also a 992 section on the forum which I’m sure you will find interesting and possibly helpful.

The Club is divided into regions and allocate people via postcode, Region 5 is a friendly and active region, we currently hold our monthly meetings at the Deanwater Hotel in Wilmslow on the second Wednesday of the month, although we also hold lots of other events around the region such as regular Saturday morning drives and bigger events such as the historic Gold Cup weekend at Oulton Park each August Bank Holiday weekend. A number of us also like to support and join some of the surrounding regions for their meetings, if they are hosting an event that we would like to go along to, we are always made to feel very welcome, in my experience, all of the Northern regions are very friendly.

I also have a 992 and it’s worth noting that the 992 Register is particularly active and friendly, it is run by another region 5 member, Phil Graham who arranges a number of fun events for us throughout the year including European and UK Road trips. We recently had a long weekend in the Lake District and the next planned event is a 4 day Isle of Man driving tour from the 8th to the 11th May 2020. For more information please reply to me or feel free to contact Phil directly at: 992@porscheclubgb.com

In the meantime, I have listed below some of our forthcoming events which I hope you will find of interest:

Wednesday, 13 November 7.00pm - Club Night at the Porsche Centre Wilmslow

Our very special, Club Night of the Year is only a week away so please put the date in your diary to join us for a great evening. There will be some interesting cars in the showroom and our ever popular 'Posh Pies'. Our kind and generous hosts have also donated a selection of fine prizes to be won, the first of which will be a chauffeured trip to the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone, this is an amazing chance to win an exciting and fun day out.

Please email Phil Graham if you would like to join us at the Porsche Centre Wilmslow for what promises to be a fantastic evening: r5porsche.pg@gmail.com

Wednesday, 11 December 8.00pm - Festive Club Night at the Deanwater

Our last Club Night of the year with complimentary coffee, mince pies a fun quiz and no doubt a few Christmas jumpers...

12-13 March 2020 - Potential Visit to the Geneva Motor Show

As something new for our 2020 calendar, Region 5 are currently reviewing the potential of running a trip for members to the Geneva motorshow in March. The visit would be over two days, flying out from Manchester during the morning of Thursday 12 March, returning on Friday 13 in the afternoon.

Costs at the time of writing are approximate, but to give an indication, please budget for circa £155 return flights, £125 to £200 for accommodation (depending on location) plus £12.50 for entrance to the motorshow. Food and drink cost would of course be in addition to this. If you are interested in attending please email Jon Kenwell: jonkenwell@aol.com so that we can gauge numbers.

We are also finalising the details for a New Year dinner and a trip to the Le Mans Classic weekend in July next year, so watch this space for more exciting events and do please get in touch if you have any questions or queries.

i look forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards,

Martin
