If you're not already on it, check out the Cayman Owners Club forum. They've had a couple of meets this year at Old Warden.

Hi.
Just wondered if there is going to be a Cayman meet up or Breakfast meet before the bad weather sets in .
In and around the Hertfordshire area sort of Stevenage and the surrounding areas.
Be nice to get a few Cayman R s involved as you don't see many.
Any one with any ideas or know of anything in the pipe line. [;)]

Went to a Tipec meet once with a couple friends we got totally ignored but that's another story.

Why I would prefer PCGB more local Cayman meet.

But thanks for the suggestions I look forward to seeing hearing about any other Cayman meets.

Cliff,

I think the forum is the liveliest part of the Register, Porsche Post is dull, however there have been some well supported meets organised by one member. I guess geography does not help with the register having to cover the entire country.

How does it work on the Boxster register, their forum seems quieter, but Porsche Post more interesting, meetings?

It is probably heresy but I thought the idea of combining Boxster and Cayman registers was good. The registers are more about technical support for members, with regions being, well, regional and social.

The lack of register parking at events is unhelpful as it makes it less easy to take the opportunity that national events might offer for register get togethers.

Boxster Register is pretty busy all round in all departments thanks to Tracy's hard work and especially keeping the Porsche Post interesting and involving members and technical articles and Boxster resto racing as much as possible.

Register Parking is something Tracy is working on at the moment to bring it back as it was a few years back as it's been dismissed over the last 2 years so hopefully it may be back in the future on certain events where possible.

Combining 2 good sized Registers would just be to much.

Geography it is challenging but this year the Boxster Register has tried to involve more parts of the country as possible but obviously as I am sure as can be appreciated it's impossible to cover every inch of the country. As said Regions are better for that.

Cheers.

Last weekend was the Cressing Temple event which I am told was enjoyed by those who attended and I have had a PM from Andrew T that he is planning another Goodwood coffee meeting next month. No details as yet but as soon as there are some details I will make sure that they are circulated.

Not received any mail chimp emails look forward to receiving some in the future especially stuff a bit more local.

Cheers
