Can I point out that under the PCGB Forum Rules you agree not to:

3.1.7 Post content, links to websites, or adverts for your own commercial gain or otherwise use the PCGB forums to bring attention to your product or service. Personal for sale postings are acceptable as long as they are an individual member/owner selling his/her personal car or accessories.

For a normal business I would agree, but this is Porsche Centre Teesside who constantly offer special deals for PCGB Members on these pages and in their branch along with supporting and funding out of their own budget Member BBQ's, Open nights, hog roasts and coffee events.

Maybe you need to speak to your local OPC and get them to do some Special Offers for the R10 and R24 Members??

My personal view as a Moderator, is that the Teesside OPC post is appropriate as useful product information to interested R3 members, from a valued R3 supporter - as information posted by official sponsors would be.

Thanks to "Motorhead" for asking the question, and to Martin for pointing out the extensive support OPC Teesside provide to our region.

Best regards - Philip

Chaps,

I'm very pleased that you have an excellent relationship between R3 and your Teesside Centre, which is to be encouraged. Indeed Martin, R24 and the Cambridge Porsche Centre run a number of annual events of the type you mention, while R10 has a very good relationship with a local Porsche Independent.

Playing devils's advocate here Philip, I would guess that there are about 40 Porsche Centres throughout the UK and if they all were allowed to post "special deals" on the forum we could see it over-run on occasions..! Perhaps a more appropriate route would be for Teesside to approach your ROs and for them to distribute the offer via email to R3 members, which I suspect would have a wider audience than forum users alone and would circumvent the forum rule I mentioned.

Personally I have no objection to offers of this kind appearing on the forum in limited numbers ... I was merely pointing out a potential infringement of the Club Rules. Perhaps this is something which could/should be opened-up to more general discussion by the Administrators?

Best wishes to you both and to all R3 Members.

Jeff
