993 Carrera 2 (1996) : Impeller fan colour?

Here is today's "anorak" question from me!

The paint (a light beige colour) on the blades on my impeller fan has started to lift in places - caused, it would seem, by the beginnings of corrosion of the blade metal. It looks like this will be a fan-off and powder coat repaint. My question is; what was the original impeller fan colour? Was it beige as per my car.

Any and all assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks, John

Strange how one doesn't notice things. I'd assumed mine was silver but just checked and I guess you could describe as beige [:(]
probably a carefully optimized colour for heat dispersion!

It’s not silver(!) - defo a ‘beige’ colour, probably very similar to the top engine cover of a late 944S2 [;)]
This is the original colour... (now, where’s my anorak? ;-)

You obviously havent seen a new one? Zermatt silver is spot on, it has come up before and you should be able to find the info with a google!

Yes, quite a while ago. Enjoyed that car and drove about 40K miles in it but kept the better car :- )
