Hi to you all!

Been working overseas for 11 years (Cape Town, Germany, Middle East and Australia) and had to come back to the UK for Family health reasons so to ease the blow we bought a 1998 46k Boxster 2.5 tiptronic in May and can't get enough of it! I thought my Son's Z4 was fun, but this is so much better and we love it.
Had it 'major serviced' and the IMS bearing done etc etc at https://portechperformance.co.uk/ with John who was fantastic - it's a lovely drive and now look forward to a few trips and meets with you all!

Best wishes
Mike and Tracy

Hi Mike and Tracy. Welcome to back to Porsche Club GB and Region 8.

Great to hear you're in an early Boxster - they are becoming very sought after so well done on getting a nice one.

We are a very busy Region in the East Midlands. Lots of nice runs out - in fact a gaggle are currently up in Scotland and we've got a midweek trip planned in North Yorkshire next May. In addition we do lunch runs and join with other regions and registers.

Our monthly meetings are well attended and are held at the Coopers Arms in Weston on Trent. They have an excellent carvery so lots of us partake of that at around 7.00 and then start the meeting proper from about 8.00 with details of past and future events then just general chitchat - about all sorts of stuff - not just cars!! This month, however, we have a visitor from Locktons, the Club linked Insurance advisers, to talk to us all things insurance related. That's October 8th. The following month we welcome Paul Taylor of One 2 One with a talk and display of car electronics - audio, alarms videos - all sorts!

Please make yourself known to Tom when you arrive so he knows who you are. We look forward to seeing you.

Join in the R8PCGB Facebook page, if you are a Facebook user, which will also keep you updates on activites.

See you soon

Laura
