What a fabulous weekend we had at the Oulton Park Gold Cup, we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. As a new Committee member it was amazing to see all the work that goes on behind the scenes to put this event on for our region. We were also fortunate to have the tremendous support of PCGB and the Porsche Centre Wilmslow together with all their staff who helped us to put on such an impressive display, as well as some much needed refreshments. It was also great to see some fabulous cars and racing, my daughter Sophie and I even managed to watch one race with Jonathan Palmer!

Sunday 8th September- Lakes run and lunch

Wednesday 11th September - Club night - Karting at Three Sisters

Sunday 29th September - Drive to RAF Cosford
Join us for a drive to RAF Museum Cosford, Shifnal Shropshire TF11 8UP. Parking has been reserved and there is a planned guided group tour. To get the meeting point and timings information, and to book a place email Phil Thompson on Philip.thompson18@btinternet.com

Thanks to all involved for creating a wonderful facility and fabulous atmosphere at Oulton Park at the weekend. We were only able to attend for the one day on Monday but were delighted to feel welcomed and a made a real part of the Porsche Club GB family.

Great to talk to yourself, Sophie and Dave, and look forward to more meetings in the future.

Thank you for your reply and for making the effort to brave the M6 on a Bank Holiday Monday to join us, we are delighted that you enjoyed the day as much as we did. It was good to see you both again and I hope that you enjoy your 992 when you pick it up, please post some pictures on the 992 section of the forum when you get a chance.

It’s a shame that you won’t be able to join us for the 992 weekend in the Lake District, however I’m sure that Phil will have some more adventures planned for us soon. In fact Clive White (AKA Lancelot on he forum) has arranged a 997, 991, 992 and Macan registers Christmas party on Saturday the 7th December at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth near Warwick, we are then due to head to Bicester for the PCGB Christmas event on the Sunday, which was really good last year. Let me know if you are interested and I’ll put you in contact with Clive.

Hi Martin, Thanks for the information about the 991/991 Christmas Party at Chesford Grange, we are quite interested in joining you and have emailed Emma who confirmed they have a room available for us. I hope to call her tomorrow to confirm.

Oh yes......... the new 992..... wow, it was collected from Porsche Tewkesbury late afternoon today, but it was raining heavily, so unfortunately I didn’t get the chance for a return trip home with the roof down. No problems, I love the car, its just so perfect. So really looking forward to its first dry run over the next few days.

i thought that you would be impressed by your 992, I look forward to seeing some pictures when you get a chance. I’m currently in a Boxster courtesy car for a couple of days and haven’t been able to put the roof down yet because of the rain...
