Coasting mode

can anyone of you 992 owners on this forum can confirm if the coasting mode is available in auto on the 992. I know you can coast in manual by pressing both the paddles together.

On my previous 991.2 it was noticeable when foot off the accelerator.

This is my first 911, and I have only just discovered the ability to put the car into neutral by pulling back on both paddles ( no need to have pre selected manual). I will give it a go.
Now the car is run in, happier to experiment.

Although I read the manual I don't recall seeing the paddle 'trick', I'll have to try that. The one coasting-type mode is when you apply the brake about half-way down when coming to a stop and the car coasts silently into a full stop.

The best option I've just learning to use is the Hold function at traffic lights, between that and the ACC my life has been changed for the better.

In "Normal" mode, doesn't the car coast automatically when there's no throttle open? [;)]

Clive

No, doesn’t appear to - I was trying to get the car to perform the coasting trick but it didn’t want to play. The ‘double paddle’ into neutral, on the other hand, does work.

You must have the Midas touch, I will try again, that has literally never worked for me...

From the manual page 229 section T, you have to be in cruise control or adaptive cruise control before it eventually operates.

Not a 992 but my 981 goes into coasting mode automatically as soon as its warmed up enough. Not in sports mode though.
