Porsche 996 exhaust silencer replacement. Any recommendations?

I currently have Dansk Silencer Sport silencers on my 996 (Code 99622096300s) which need to be replaced (currently blowing from the flexi pipe section). These are quite loud so may look at some that are quieter but louder than stock oem. Anyone have any recommendations?

Can't tell you if they are any good yet but I've been looking for a while for replacements on my C2 3.4 and have settled on the Milltek Cup Silencers. After listening to several videos on Youtube I'd shortlisted these along with the Tubi silencers. Unfortunately the Tubi silencers come to just under £1,200 inc VAT so I went fo the Millteks as they were available for £770 in VAT from milltekshop.com.

They don't appear too droney and come alive when you get the revs up which is what I wanted, more race car than boy racer.

I have Dansk Sport silencers on my 996 C2 and I’m very pleased with them. They’re louder than OE but produce a slightly deeper, more sports car like and very satisfying sound. I wonder if you have a louder version on your car
I would happily have the same again.

On my 987 Boxster S I have the Carnewal GT modified silencers. On full throttle they create a glorious sound. The note is significantly deeper than OE and a much more satisfying sound that always makes me smile. When driving ‘normally’ and on motorways there’s no droning or obtrusive sound. They’re a well sorted out modification for €495. Rather than having them sent here and having to send the originals back I combined a very enjoyable trip to Bruges with having them fitted by the man himself, Gert @ Carnewal.

If you listen to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoYCa6Gabl4 Admittedly this is a 996GT, but I wanted a sound close to this on throttle. As above, the Millteks offered the best sound at price point. They bark but are not obtrusive on normal speed, no drone or wake the neighbours up on early morning drives - caveat; my daughter claims she hears me coming home though...

Hi guys
i have also ordered the Milltek Cup exhaust from the Milltek Shop, by far the cheapes.
I put a Milltek on my R32 mk5 6 months ago and it sounds lovely.
Not just that, but my mechanic said it was the best quality and easiest to fit of any exhaust he’d ever worked on.
Just be careful if your looking around at prices as some shops as they only add the vat as your about to send the money.
So I rang the Milltek Shop before ordering and yes theirs included vat at £770 a real bargain.

A trip to Bruges sounds very tempting!!

The current Dansk silencers are the sport version. Just wonder if the crack in the flexi pipe might be the reason for being louder than expected?

Hi! I opted for the Porsche switchable version when my system needed replacing on 996 C4s and am absolutely happy with it. Porsche Centre Swindon supplied and fitted. Member of Classic club so got good discount.......... I have the benefit of being able to turn it off when I don't want to wake the village! Also its a button on the dash rather than on a key fob as some are.
