Advice wanted for steering wheel spacer

Does anyone use a steering wheel spacer? I’m a little taller than most and find the steering wheel in my 993 often rubs my legs, I think a 2-3 inch extension would solve this.

Where is the best place to get one of these, either new or used?

thanks in advance

Would you consider running with a non airbag steering wheel from the Carrera RS or cup car to improve the situation? Because either of those can be adjusted for reach more economically than the spacer mentioned above and will cure your problem.

I do care! :)

I have slowly got used to the wheel position over the last month, and having just driven (over the last 2 days) 700 miles to northern Scotland, I’ve found the best compromise in terms of seat position.

My plan is to find a good used 996 3-spoke wheel in the right colour (light grey) and swap it out. I understand these are 20mm smaller in diameter so will certainly help with leg space.

I do like the RS style wheel and I’m watching one on eBay but the lack of an airbag wont go down well with my boss (the other half).

The 996 wheel is great, you could have it modified with a flat bottom to help even more!
