Seat Covers !!

Just picked up my first Porsche in almost 12 years last Saturday  All very happy and good apart from the fact there was no Drivers Manual or Service Book with it  but they've posted me one out today  its just arrived and not stamped  Oh well !!

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to coming along to some of the PCGB events and meeting people.

In the meantime I wonder if anyone knows of where seat covers (plastic) can be bought for the Driver Seat on a 992 to keep it in decent order after trips to the gym etc ? Probably a bizarre question but hopefully someone out there can point me in the right direction - Thanks in Advance !

I've been ummm'ing about these;

https://www.overthetop.co.uk/porsche-911-2012-2019-custom-front-seat-covers/

"If you want glove fit tailored seat covers for your Porsche 911 then our Custom Quiltie Front Seats are for you.
Tailored to the shape of individual makes and models of vehicles these front seat covers are ideal for both fabric and leather upholstery."

£149 for a pair.

They look promising.

I have some of their covers for the back seats, so the dog can sit in there without filthin' up the lovely tan (refuse to call it "beige") leather. They work well.

I also received my manual in the post and the first thing you see is the airbag warnings including 'do not use seat covers'.

So there you are

Enjoy the car and wipe down the seats after your gym session with GTechniq Tri Clean, brilliant stuff to keep in the car with a microfibre.

I just bought a seat cover from hive seen for £16  ~ not fancy but easy to get on and off quickly and does what I need it to do.

I oringinally followed pwebb's advise and purchased 500 ml of GTechniq Tri Clean, however where I appear to ONLY be driving to the gym at the moment during the week with the occassional blast at the weekend, it seemed a bit excessive constantly spraying it on the seats, so I too purchased a pair of the same covers recommended by Tony992 above.

They're like a big bib that just hooks over the headrest and lays on the seat back and seat base (they don't appear to obscure the airbag sides).  They do the trick nicely for the price and as mentioned are very easy on easy off.

Do the custom rear seat covers also cover the side leather panels? I have been looking for a neat solution for when my dog travels with us. Thanks.

The ones I have don't (see post above … https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/FindPost/1033884). Our dog does sometimes put his paws up on the sides, but I've got some leather cleaning wipes in the glove box which I hit the mess with immediately and it's fine. Plus, Dodo Juice leather cleaner seems to also work a treat. Given I have tan leather in my 911 any muck shows up immediately  Generally speaking the covers prevent any real mess or damage to the rear seats. Mine still look like new, and Ernie has done a lot of miles back there

They told me that they have the templates for the sides and can provide them for an additional cost. I've ordered some in black and I'll be interested to see what they are like (although I'm not unhappy with cushions on the seats to level it up and blankets).

I phrased that poorly. I meant I had ordered some of the seat covers - I didn't go for the side bits.

Hi, I ordered a set of covers from Premier Products last week and they arrived today. My car is a 992 but it has Grey / Crayon leather so I do occasionally need to fit a cover to protect the seat.

They have most Porsche models listed although for the 911 only up to the  997 model, but they do fit very well on my 992. They are available in Black or Grey, I had the grey to match the interior.

The website link is https://www.premierproductsltd.co.uk/product/porsche-997-seat-covers-semi-tailored and they are based in Nottingham. They are very good quality and strong material so well recommended at £22.99 each, but you get free delivery over £30 so it's worth getting a pair.
