My first Porsche - GT4 (Norfolk)

Hi all,

Just thought I would take a moment to introduce myself - After many years as a Porsche fan from afar I finally took the plunge and bought my first Porsche and wow should I of done it sooner! The GT4 has completely blown me away and is everything I hoped it would be!

The car is destined to be pretty much my daily driver (well at least a good 3-4 times a week) with the odd track day thrown in so I opted for maybe the opposite in terms of traditional GT4 spec with comfort in mind!

Below is the specced options when it was new:

Homelink
Electric Comfort Seats (Heated)
Sound Package Plus
Sport Chrono Package
Telephone Module
Porsche Communication Management (PCM)
Bi-Xenon Headlights
Ring Wing Supports (Satin Black)
Wheels (Satin Black)
Fuel Tank (64L)

The most bizarre option (yet great in my opinion) is the car was specced with ISOFIX and airbag disable so I can take my son out and hopefully pass the Porsche bug down the generations!

The car has covered 9,000 miles and also benefits from full body PPF from new which is a lovely addition!

Lastly, upon joining the club I've not wasted any time and booked myself onto the Snetterton track day on June 26th - Is anyone else on here going? I'm billy no mates in the Porsche world so if you see me don't be shy!

Cheers,
Fred

Fred,

First Porsche and possibly one of the best ever!

I have a Cayman 981 GTS and I'm beyond amazed ever time I drive it.

Just come back from a 1100 mile trip over to Spa last weekend and it performed flawlessly. I drove for more than 7 hrs last Monday on the return journey and enjoyed every minute.

You have one serious car Fred, enjoy.

Welcome Fred and a great choice too. I have a white GT4 and love driving it. I hope you and your son enjoy every minute together.

It does work out some times, I’m just helping my eldest (21) to buy his first Porsche, a proud dad moment for me.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome and messages! I look forward to getting some more miles under my belt and hopefully meeting a few faces at future events!

Welcome to the GT4 club Fred. Hope to see you at a track day. Next for me is the club day at Oulton Park in September. Best track in the country!

I agee, my experience is that the Porsche Club is a great place to be ... have fun !

(Great car) ...
