Hi. , sorry I know this event clashes with our region meet at Bracknell but I have tickets to go , is anyone from R19 going. Hendy.

Hi Hendy, Sorry for the late reply. I've only just seen your post as it was posted before I had subscribed to the R19 thread :(

I was at Simply Porsche at the weekend, as part of the Facebook 996 Owners Group. Did you go in the end and what did you think of the event? Do you think we should apply for a group display space next year if we had enough interest?

Kind regards,
Colin

Hi Colin , yes I attended , this was my second year and it was great to see all the cars and meet and chat with other owners , I managed to get parked with the Southern region group after being sent to park elsewhere by a parking steward ! . It is a shame that PCGB don't have an area set aside but I suppose the event is sponsored by the Porsche independent club.
There seemed to be less stalls selling memorabilia this year which was a bit disappointing. May be our region could arrange to attend next years event in convoy instead of the Region Sunday meet.

Regards. Hendy.

Hi Hendy,

I did see the PCGB Southern Region parked up, glad to hear you got to display with a PCGB region at least. You're right, it did feel a little quieter than previous years, although there were certainly a lot of cars there still. The traders area felt smaller too, I think maybe Tipec need to add an additional activity or further interest to the event. At least the rain held off while we were there :)

Yes, I like the idea of a convoy and R19 display area there next year. I'll add it to the list of potential events for consideration for 2020.

I hope to meet you at one of our future events during June,
Regards,
Colin
