Join fellow members and their families from the Thames Valley and adjoining Regions for great chat and all things Porsche whilst displaying your car.

Following the great attendance and success of our May meet up, our monthly meeting in June (which, as usual, falls on the first Sunday of the month) will again be held at the Coppid Beech Hotel, Bracknell, RG12 8TF. The Coppid Beech has kindly provided us with a meeting room, at no cost, where members can meet and seating is available. A significant choice of food and refreshments can be purchased from the bar menu.

  • Venue: Coppid Beech Hotel, Bracknell, RG12 8TF.
  • Date: Sunday 2nd June 2019
  • Time: 12:00 Midday onwards
We look forward to seeing you there.

Photos of members’ cars from our May meet up are available in our gallery. Click here.

Best regards,

Hello Colin / John

I'm normally pretty active in R19 (I was part of the annual R19 trip to the Prescott hill climb in May) but I haven't made it to a Coppid Beech meet before yesterday. As a venue it certainly fulfils our requirements for a large carpark and not being too busy to accommodate us all but I did think it lacked a bit of charm and the prices were on the steep side.

I don't think I bumped into either of you so I didn't get chance to discuss future events. In the past we have had a full calendar of varied events and I wondered whether the new committee has any plans to hold a forum or a Q&A session or something similar to gain views on what sort of events might be preferred by the members or even on subjects such as the Coppid Beech vs previous R19 venues.

I certainly have my preferences when it comes to events but I would rather offer them as part of a wider consultation rather then offering them in in isolation.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

James

Hi James,

Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry we didn't get to meet and chat on Sunday afternoon, I already had tickets for Simply Porsche down at Beaulieu, which was an unfortunate date clash for us this year. Looking through the list of past R19 Events and Forum posts I can see just how active you have been within the club over the years and can imagine the time and commitment that involved. :)

I like your suggestion of a get-together to discuss all things R19 and it would be a great opportunity to meet members outside of our events at which the R19 team and myself are usually quite busy. There is a team meeting this week, so I'll be sure to raise your suggestion and hopefully be able to respond positively and with some suggested dates. I'll update you via this thread for continuity and member visibility.

Thanks again for getting in touch,
Kind Regards,
Colin
