Just had the 997 for just over 6 months now after selling my 1989 Supersport do I regret it ……..not on your nelly

My 997 without doubt is the best car I have ever owned ,it looks great goes great and sounds great ,I've had all the usual bits done , front grilles fitted a/c rads replaced IMS bearing checked and modified ,b/f done oil and filter done ………………………...and more importantly NO rust issues

it may not have the iconic looks of a wide bodied Supersport but the way it performs who cares

Just thought I would share that little moment with you all 997 owners

Goodness, Mike, you really are a convert - yes, they are great cars, whichever one you choose [8D]

Glad to hear you're having a ball with yours! They are such great cars, whether you're schlepping about or giving it a good spanking.

I knew you would enjoy it, so much more usable than the old car in my opinion. I never regretted selling mine, enjoyed it all the years I had it but can use this one much more.
best regards

Hi Mike

After a week of joining the club without a car I have been enjoying my new 997 C4S PDK cab for a few days. My jaw has locked open. My wife came out with me today and couldn't believe how it could be almost a limousine one minute and then a fire breathing monster the next.

Yes its its a different experience to my old '86 manual 3.2 but for various reasons that's exactly what I wanted. It doesn't feel like a 9 year old car either. The inside is very well put together and I think it looks classic rather than dated.

So I am in the same camp as you and I'm sure I will be also in 6 months time.
