We have been in touch with the Classic Shows team who would be delighted to have members from the Porsche club GB taking part in the event at Castle Howard on Fathers day, June 16th.

Discounted tickets are available on line, via a downloadable form and by telephone, I was advised we should try and book by the end of May although the actual cut off date is the 7th June. Val and I will be there and would welcome some company from R7 and the nearby East Ridings area.

There is a discounted admission ticket for car exhibitors who book in advance of the event.
For a cost of just £4.50, the car exhibitor ticket allows entry for:
– one classic car (aged 2004 / pre-2004) or a car in one of the following themes: American / kit / custom / replica car
– up to two adults and two children (aged up to 14).
Any additional passengers will be charged at the full admission price.

It is appreciated that some clubs have members with newer vehicles so if you have a vehicle aged newer than 2004, like ours, it is advisable to you make your booking by phoning the office on 01484 667776 or emailing info@classicshows.org to avoid any unnecessary delays.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Passes are issued subject to exhibitors arriving at the event by 11.00am.
To take up this offer exhibitors must confirm their booking no later than 5pm on Friday 7 June 2019.

The organisers have suggested we use the online booking form but to add in the additional Information section at checkout that we are with the Porsche Club GB Region 7, in addition please post here on the forum if you are attending.

Hi Peter
We are now booked in with our 2013 991.1 Carrera S. When I rang the Classic Shows office to book as suggested they told me to use the online booking form but to add in the Additional Information section at Checkout that I was with the Porsche Club GB Region 7 display.

Having seen the show plan are we in with ‘Sports and Convertibles’ or do we have sufficient numbers that we will be under the club banner in ‘Clubs and Modern Classics’? We are aiming to get there for 9.00 - 9.30 since the gates open to the public at 10.00.

Nick

I have been in touch with the organisers today and they will be making the final decision on Sunday morning following the recent rain. Matthew will apparently be there to marshal us in.

Best regards,

Pete

Sadly we are not going to be at Castle Howard on Sunday, we have a family health emergency and are having to head to Hertfordshire for some time.

Hope you managed to have a good day, unfortunately we are close to the Luton & Dunstable hospital for the foreseeable future and couldn't make it.

Didn't go as didn't want to risk 911 on grass/mud following so many days of heavy rain
