Forthcoming Events

Sunday 5th May
Donnington Historic Race Meeting
Several R18 Lancashire members are going to Donnington on Sunday 5th May.  We had original said to leave Charnock richard Services, M6 South at 7.30am.  After chatting with several who are going we have decided to all make our own way there, rather than going in convoy.

You must be on site by 10.00 LATEST to be able to park with PCGB.  (Last year someone arrived at 10.10 and had to park in Joe Public’s car park)

For those not going to Donnington there is the monthly Breakfast meeting at the Cornerhouse, Wrightington from 8.30

Monday 6th May
Gawsworth Hall, Classic Car Show
There is always a good Porsche presence with Region 5 organising the area and parking.  Mke your own way there and pay on the gate

Sunday 12th May
South Westmorland Run organised by Gareth Patterson.
Meet at Truck Haven, Carnforth 9.30 am. The drive will finish with lunch at the Gilpin Bridge, near Grange at about 1pm. There are plenty of places locally to visit after lunch including Lakeland Car Museum.  Gareth has e-mailed all those who have expressed an interest in attending, and is looking for a refundable deposit and menu choice
If you are interested please email Gareth on gareth.patterson@lineone.net so he can arrange sufficient space  for lunch, and he can send you details of the menu and where to send the deposit.
Wednesday 15th May – Monthly Meeting – Garstang Golf Club 19.45
I am just waiting for a speaker to come back to me to confirm if he can make it.

Thursday 16th May – Sports & Classic Car meeting from 18.30 – The Bridge House Tea Rooms, Wray  LA2 8QP ( near Lancaster)
See Facebook - www.facebook.com/events/bridge-house-farm-tearooms/classic-car-night/1553793601302188 for more information.  There is an excellent BBQ as well.  Many cars go on an evening run after the show from 19.30 onwards so get there early.

Sunday 19th May Porsches on the Prom - Llandudno
There is no entry fee, but please let R6 Regional Organiser, Sue Taylor, R6@porscheclubgb.com  know you will be attending, so she can get sufficient space on the Prom.  Other Porsche Clubs are also attending. See Porsche Post for more information.
Sunday                19th May- Cumbria Motor Show – Crooklands  near Kendal

Monday 27th May – Mawdesley Classic Car Show, near ChorleyThere is an optional run before the show.  Details  can be found on Facebook www.facebook.com/events/mawdesley-cc-classic-car-motorbike-show/2066066760351093

Sunday                11th August  Red Rose Run.
This is Region 18’s major event and is a scenic drive through the beautiful Ribble Valley and a surrounding area. WE will be setting off from the new Porsche Centre Preston and finishing at Stonyhurst College, near Clitheroe.  There is also a classic  car show on the same day.  There will be a small charge for attending the show but there is no charge to enter the event.  Alls we ask is for a donation to Rosemere Cancer Foundation where quite a few PCGB Members, not only from R18, have been treated.  Please e-mail me at R18@porscheclubgb.com for an entry form.  Place are limited and no entrants can be accommodated on the day.

Regional Concours – Date TBA.  The R18 ‘Pride of Ownership Concours’ will be help at Porsche Centre Preston.  As soon as we  have agreed a date I will post details and look for entries.
