Panoramic roof

Hi all
Nice and sunny at the weekend perfect for windows down and panoramic roof open making the most of this great weather
that was until we stopped and closed the roof!
it moved (juddered)about 300mm then reversed back open, in the end, I helped it close with some force.
When we got home I looked at what was going on with the mechanism it all looks well lubricated but still the same problem closing
to me, it feels that something has slipped or jumped a cog on one side you can hear the motor/s struggling
any ideas welcome?
Gordon.

Mine did it last summer, exactly as you described, As you say the mechanism and rails all look well greased, however after I cleaned & "relubbed" the seals with Silicon Spray I have had no problems (and no squeaks going over bumps when its closed)

I have a Pano roof on my 955 Turbo S and told you need to use the right lub or it will jam up, be worth cleaning it and relube it again
On mine there is an emergency allen key to close/open the roof. It's located in the centre arm rest and hidden under the rubber mat in the bottom. It's in the users manual telling you this too
You can then test if it still opens/closes ok manually

Thanks, guys
The rails were cleaned and re-lubed a short while ago but didn't last more than a couple of openings/closings I will ask the garage to redo and use silicone spray
rather than WD40 or similar which will collect dirt and dust and clog things up plus do the rubbers each side hopefully it will sort things out!
There's always something on these newer Cayennes my old one was bulletproof other than heat soak due to the poor intercooler design/ water pipes/Cardon shaft.

Just looking for a 958 Cayenne c.£25k. My 'must have' list was air suspension and pan roof but the more I speak to people I'm told to avoid both ! Friends have also had lots of problems on Pan roofs on other brands...

Hi
Nothing wrong with the air suspension on Porsches I think whoever told you to avoid it was confusing Range rover with Porsche!
as for Pano roof its one of those things once you have it there is no going back, It was certainly on my list when I bought mine they need regular TLC just like the rest of it.

There are around 160 build options on the 958 so decide what you want and look around it took me a couple of months to find the right one for me.

I have a 63 plate Cayenne S, the blind on my pan roof gets to the point where it is just about shut and winds back like the roof is on tilt, any ideas?

Sounds like it has lost its way, check the manual I'm pretty sure there is a reset procedure.
page 87 I think!

Hi

My cayenne 958 has an issue with the pano roof. The one touch does not work, you have to hold the button the blind and the roof for it to open.

Anyone had any issues with this?
