I am sure you will all agree the launch of any new Porsche is a pretty amazing event. As always the guys and girls at OPC Teesside and the Porsche Cars team really excelled and did an incredible job, hosting last nights local unveiling.

I was pleased to see so many R3 members and friendly faces at the dealership and although Deb & I always endeavour to say hello, sadly we just can't get around everyone, if you were one of the army of fabulous R3 supporters attending the Teesside launch last night and we missed you please accept our apologies.

I would be interested in your thoughts and views on the new cars unveiled last night. I do love a black car as many of you know but the Crayon 992 looked absolutely stunning and as one member was keen to point out there is also now room to store a baguette behind your rear passenger seats, not sure that's what that gap was left for, but its certainly an interesting suggestion.

Thank you Ross and all your dedicated team for allowing so many R3 members to be part of yet another milestone in the history of this iconic brand.

I agree Greg, another fantastic evening performed by Ross and the team at Teesside, thank you to them all.

My money would also go on the Crayon coloured 992 over the red and black, it really highlights the new features.

Much better than the GT Silver with "brown" interior shown at the Geneva car show recently, but everyone to their own on the aesthetics front.

I missed out on the Euro-millions last night so the 997.1 C4S remains......

I had a great evening. However can someone confirm the colour of the middle car. I thought it was crayon but was informed it was some kind of white and only looked crayon due to the lighting - I mention no names (yet).

Yes a great evening once again hosted by Teesside & so many R3 members. Have to agree that the middle one got our vote as well (I would have said crayon but it did seem to have a metallic element to it which makes me doubt it a little). The rear end is very different and the number plate recess removal completely changes the look - I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Guards red always looks good though so that would be second choice of the 4 that were ther. Pity there wasn’t a lizard green one though - I love bright colours😁

I thought it was very good - both the launch evening and the car.

Having spoke to Jan it was interesting how much the car is different from the 991.2 underneath in ways that you wouldn’t think. For example when the bumper comes off the exhaust pipes do as well - they are built into the bumper.

Also, the increased use of aluminium in the chassis which is almost doubled to around 70%.

Makes you wonder how fast a 992 turbo / turbo s will be.....

Great evening as ever - Teesside once again pulling the stops out.

Crayon for me too!

There are 4 of us going to the Newcastle Porsche event this Friday down on the Quayside. Should be a good night (hic)

Any other R3 members going?
