Hi everyone,
Thought i'd post a picture of yesterdays top down ride.
Almost forgot how good the engine sounds. Not so sure about the exhaust mod now.
Does anyone have experience of the Revolution Porsche exhaust mod. After yesterday though i'm a bit loathe to alter things. Think i would really need to hear it first hand before i committed to it
Cheers
Tom

I assume its very similar in execution to the Carnewal GT mod that Gert over in Belgium does to the standard silencers.

I bought a GT exhaust from Gert and I've not regretted it.
The transformation is just like the video on Revolutions website.
Roof down on an open road its fantastic.
And pooling through built up areas and little villages is just as much fun with the noise bouncing off the buildings.

Just do it - I'm sure you will be happy

Follow your heart!
Reversible mods are nice if you can, but my 2.9 is bog standard and civilised at normal revs, i.e. Below 4K, but becomes very special to the red line, always a nice surprise to reach for when in the mood and right conditions.
Not sure I would want it all the time, but your car, do it!

I too have a Carnewal GT modified exhaust on my 987.1 S but I wouldn’t describe it in the same way as James. On tickover and being driven below around 3000 revs the note is deeper and much more satisfying than the standard one but it is still completely civilised and it doesn’t resonate off nearby buildings. Drop it down a gear or two and give it the beans it sounds absolutely glorious. At €495 it is a relatively inexpensive modification and very well worth doing.
Fitting the Carnewal GT mod and a thicker rimmed steering wheel have in my opinion transformed the car from feeling like a nice roadster into a great sports car.
