Tyre sealant replacement

Hiya boys and girls,
The tyre sealant for my Boxster is about to expire. Can anyone recommend a decent replacement that is not from Porsche? There must be good alternatives that cost a lot less.

BTW, just had a 100k service at Dove House in Rushden, I can't praise them enough.

Never had to use it (yet & fingers crossed) but it seems to be approved across many manufacturers and doesn't need to remove the tyre valve before use.
Good speedy and friendly service when I contacted them. Hope this helps.

Thanks, looks good and a lot cheaper. I'm happy to spend ££ to keep my Boxster in good condition but not to pay inflated prices to Porsche.

This one is cost effective and you can have your tyre washed out and repaired conventionally after using this product

Yes, another vote for Slime. I believe most of the sealants available, whilst getting you home hopefully, render the tyre unrepairable. With Slime you can hose it away and repair the tyre

The VW ones are identical. Decent use by dates available on e-bay for 25£. And the fit in the holders as/OE.

I use the Honda ones, they are also made in Germany bizarrely enough and same shape/size as OEM.

Hi,
Thanks. A friend of mine who has a garage uses these for quick repair jobs. As you say they will get you home but as a permanent repair they are lacking as there is no mushroom on the inner of the tyre as there is on a repair plug.

One of these kits got a 991 from Bayreuth to Tewkesbury as there were no tyres available elsewhere!...Try that with sealant......
