Hi all,

I've recently bought a 997 C2S with light door and wing damage. got the new panels going on. Its going to replace my 996 C4 as my daily fun car.

Being damaged it didn't come with any history so if anyone recognises EU05 FSS. Please get in touch, I'd be really grateful for info anyone can give on this car.

Hi!
Looks like a nice car - hope you got a good deal.
Firstly, looking at the reg on the MOT History site - https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ - it seems to have led a well maintained life as the only advisories have been brake disc related, indicating that it has been kept outside rather than garaged. The only fail was seven years ago due to a headlamp aim fault, but that's easily cured by resetting the cars auto-leveling system (it's a common issue)
It is possible, if you get friendly with your nearest Porsche Centre, to have them check the VIN in their database, as they should at least give you a verbal (take a pen and pad) history of the car for as long as it was serviced inside the OPC network. You can actually apply for a new Service Book, but I'm not sure how much this is. If you have the previous owner details, you might get lucky if you contact them and see if they still have any paperwork.
Good luck!

Porsche GB was indeed helpful and gave me details of were it was serviced. contact the OPC in question and they printed of the invoices for the work and have offered to stamp a service book. Which they can provide. only £13.
However I also contacted the last place the Car was MOT'd, Peter Nash Specialist cars, who gave me a run down of all the work they did when they sold it and under their warranty. They had a full inspection carried out for the buyer too. Then they passed my details on to the Buyer who called me a half hour later.
Upshot is he's got the full history a loads of paperwork he's going to forward on to me.
So a Result. [:)]

In the mean time I've just installed a third Rad and Mesh behind the intakes. When the weathers better I'll install a new low temp thermostat.

I’ve now got all the history. Last stamp was as recent as November last year.
Records show it was borescoped with no issue found in october to as part of a ppi.

result Indeed.
