968 Sport Badge

Hi All

My 968 Sport came badged as a 968 CS. Whilst from the outside this looks nice, Im putting the car back exactly to how it should be so this has to go(got rid of the air box mod already [:)] )

I have the original sport badge luckily, but Ill need to spend a painful amount of time getting the old adhesive off the back before I can re-stick it and quite frankly Id be happy just to buy a new one............Cant fine one anywhere though.

Any chance of me tracking one down?

Many thanks

The "Sport" that should be on the right hand side

You looking for the 'Sport' badge or the 'S'? - both were used.
Not sure that's true, only Sport badges were issued and applied by Porsche Cars GB. Some owners have used an S aftermarket but it was not an official issue.
'Sport' would be the proper badge and as mentioned above is applied to the RHS of the boot panel.

The Sport Badge is not available as a spare part and never has been, they were fitted by the then AFN importers.

I have no idea where they got them from,

Good job Ive got what Ive got then!

Got some 3M tape on the way, just need to get the adhesive off the back of the old one now.

Indeed. Customers when ordering the Sport could request (like any other AFN/importer order request) either 'S' or 'Sport' badging, or even de-badging. Same with the Club Sport badging and decal requests.

Where are you seeing that information, as far as I am aware the 'S' badge was part of turbo s not a standalone option for Sports.
