Door Pillar Trim Removal

Morning Folks,
I'm trying to get the door pillar trim off the passenger side to provide access to run a DAB antenna cable down to behind the dash. I've taken off the 3 x screw caps but there were only screws (that I could see) in the lower two holes. The upper hole doesn't look like there is anything in there.

However I can't get the trim off - the lower part is free to move, although restricted by the top of the dash, but the top is stuck fast - putting a trim tool in to try and pry it sounds like I'm starting to rip the panel. I've removed the left hand side of the front trim (at the sun visor) but this hasn't helped.

Looking for some advice here as I don't want to force it off and destroy the trim !

Thanks,

I think there is a moulded rubber section that runs front to back glued to the roof to form a transition area for the roof lining-it may be that the top of the windscreen sidetrim has got stuck to that

Thanks - I'll see if that's the issue.

As luck would have it, the postman just delivered a DAB splitter connection that I ordered from Amazon a while ago (post delivery here is pretty hit and miss) - it's meant to use your existing antenna and spilt it for FM and DAB. If that does work then I won't need to run the DAB antenna....

Those top screws can be very very hard to find, sr944man says his were vertical, mine were at about 60 degrees

think it depends what German fella had the hole punch and screws on the day

Thanks for the replies - managed to find the screw - an odd almost vertical angle like you said. Had to take the pillar trim out as the DAB splitter didn't work. Window antenna works just fine though, so a good result :)
