Genuine Porsche part???

Uponblocks

Is this a genuine Porsche part - if so, anyone know the part number?

Just trying to "tidy up" my recently acquired 964 and there's plenty of little jobs to do...one of which is the lamp in the front bonnet, which is missing the other part of the attached plastic block - is this a genuine part? - I suspect not as back in the day I dabbled with car electrics / car audio and these type of blocks were cheap /quick ways to connect additional speakers or repair broken speaker wires. The pins come separately and have to be crimped on and the block then slides over the pins.
any help greatly appreciated

I think your nearest OPC will be the best place to call.
If it's just a connector then any type would be good from places like RS Components or Ebay would do.
The electric diag shows it as T27 a 2 pin connector.
The parts catalogue doesn't list it but from page 513 onwards there's a list of plugs and connectors but I cannot help you more.
Have you checked it hasn't been tucked away inside the end of the bonnet where the lamp housing sits.

Thanks Dekker - appreciate the reply.

Other end has been ripped off, and there's just bare wire.

thanks again.

It has probably been de-activated rather crudely because it can remain on and drain the battery.
Personally I fit LED substitutes for these types of bulbs, much less drain.
