Hi - I wondered if anyone had any reviews or feedback regarding the Teeside OPC please.

Also anyone fitted zunsport grilles without subsequent warranty issues through Teesside? I'm want to put some on my 718 but they have said it invalidates the warranty. Porsche GB say speak to your dealer and ask them to raise with Porsche Germany.....

Many thanks

Paul

Just used them to trade in my Targa against a 718S. Keith was my salesman he used to drive 924’s in the GB series so knows about cars. They were very eager for the sale ended up with virtually what I paid for the Targa and the equivalent of 12% off the 718 list and a fat cheque. I walked away from the ‘final’ deal only to get a phone call 15 mins later agreeing. Overall very happy with the experienc, made me feel my car was important despite its more ‘modest’ cost.

Hi Paul and welcome to the R3 Forum. We have a great relationship here in the North East with OPC Teesside, their service levels and staff are second to none. If you require any help or information why not drop them a line and be sure to tell them you are a Club member, I know they will always be happy to help if possible. We have an workshop morning on Saturday 3rd November pre-arranged at Teesside, you are welcome to come along then and chat with the staff if you would like to join us.

Regards

Greg.

There is a thread on here that discusses this issue and the different responses from various OPC's, it is noted that Tesside are one of the less helpful ones on this topic.

Thanks Greg - I’m booked in for a recall on my 718 - side vents to have grilles fitted and a couple of warranty rattles / squeaks - it‘s not until late November, but wanted to make sure their feedback was good. Unfortunately can’t make 03/11.

I am in dialogue with them regarding the zunsport grilles and hoping they get the same advice from Porsche Germany that it appears other OPCs may have had, which would allow them to be fitted without warranty impact.

Kind regards

Paul

Hi Paul

Just had my 718 in this week for the side air vent recall. As most have pointed out on here, they are great to deal with. I briefly flirted with a Macan diesel for 7 months (bought new from Newcastle) but missed my Boxster too much - approached Porsche Teesside during their annual golf day & they were eager to buy the Macan & offered more than any other dealers or independents as they were short on stock. Unfortunately they couldn’t supply a 718 I had spotted in Porsche Belfast despite their best efforts (ended up dealing with Belfast direct).

Would have no hesitation recommending them though.

As an aside I got a 718 PDK courtesy car which was a direct swap - good to compare as you take for granted some of the options on my car that you really miss (eg automatic climate control, lane change assist, sports exhaust).

I've dealt with Newcastle and Teeside OPC's. I'm closer to Newcastle but I've had a better experience from Teeside so that is my North East OPC of choice!

This ^^

Another thumbs up 👍 and huge thanks to Tim, Abby and the team a Teesside Porsche.

My Boxster GTS just had its 4yr service, all good. Brake fluid changed and drive belt inspected (as per schedule), and Spark plugs replaced too.

additional work requested & carried out - cruise control retro-fitted (I just need to remember it’s NOT ACC (radar/adaptive) like my Passat!!), and rain sensor for wipers activated / coded-in.

Icing on the cake - oh, clearly either Tim or Abby arranged for the rain to start halfway back up to North Tyneside, so I could test out the new rain-sensing wipers feature!!

Fitted Zunsport Grill Set to my 997 & now my 991 ... no issues at all, in face they prevent leaves passing through thus keeping the cooling system free from overheating

I've got zunsport grilles on the T no issues. If it was i'd just take them off prior to going back.

I bought my T from teeside and they were poor, crap trade in and any enquiry took 2 or 3 phone calls to get a reply. Standard JCT customer care in my humble opinion. When the cayenne is up for changing i'm taking my hard earned to kendal who actually do value their customers.

The grills issue is on another thread (as above) but to be fair OPC Teesside and others, the three year manufacturers warranty doesnot appear to be affected by them unless they are proved to have directly caused a problem. The difficulty lies with the 111 point check and the extended insurance warranty. Basically, it must be as delivered to qualify. Teesside were helpful throughout.
