Disconnected Cable ID

Hi Stuart,

I thought that too at first, however the cable for them (and the under bonnet light) is at the drivers side (smaller plug). That's been cut previously though (of course !).

Andy

Afternoon,
Whilst I was under the bonnet today I noticed the cable and connector shown in the photo lying beside the fuse box under the bonnet. There doesn't look to be anything obvious close by under the bonnet for it to go, hence the question. The cable from the connector goes into the loom to the left of the fuse box.

Could it be some form of alarm tilt switch? only factory electrical items under the bonnet I can think of you have covered above, the heated nozzles and under bonnet light, which does have a tilt switch and also I believe needs the sidelights on to operate.

Tony

Thanks Tony,

There looks to be remnants of a couple of car alarms under the dash and bonnet so this could well be part of that (them). I think I'll need to have an auto electrician run through it over the winter months to tidy things up as there are a lot of loose ends around the car....

Andy

That is definitely something other than original, it has a much later era plug on it

im having a hard time seeing it proprely with the Italian sun on my phone screen
