Just had an e-mail form The Cornerhouse, Wrightington to say the last Classic Car Breakfast Meeting for 2018 is on Sunday 7th October.

You need to be there by 8.30/45 to be able to get on the car park.

The next one will be on 1st January 2019 starting at 9.30/10.00

A full house and varied selection of cars again this morning. Great turnout of Porsche models from 944's, 968's, 964, 993's, 997's, Cayman's and Boxster's from both PCGB, TIPEC and Porsche Club Horwich.

Those arriving after 9.00 struggled to get on the car park.

The next meeting will be on 1st January starting at 9.00, not 10.00 as previously quoted by the restaurant. This is always a packed event so get there earlier even than 8.30 to get on the car park. Some spaces on the car park last year were taken up by those attending the previous nights festivities, but they got blocked in and had to wait for the event to disperse. I expect the same will happen again.

Hi David - is this still going ahead tomorrow (New Years Day?) ? Thanks Nick

Yes the event at the Cornerhouse went ahead as per my last post. It was packed to capacity and the roads around were also full. A large variety of Porsches as well as other supercars and classics attended.

A report will be in March Porsche Post

Thanks David, I attended early and managed to get a spot. I was in the lizard green GT3 RS as my classic is in for restoration work - great turnout!

Cheers Nick

Hi Nick

Great car you were in. I was in my Silver 997 and managed to park in the far corner as my Purple 993 was in for annual service.

Thanks David, saw your lovely 911 - used to have one very similar to that in the same colour. See you at future events or meetings in Garstang. For info, I run an annual supercar charity event called supercar showtime at Hoghton Tower and would be interested in getting the regional Porsche club to attend this year. It will be on Sunday 2nd June.

No doubt we can chat about it over the next few months.

Regards; Nick

Hi Nick

I've added your Houghton Towers date to the provisional R18 Events Calendar and look forward to receiving info about it in due course.

David

Brilliant, thanks David. I will give you all the info in person at one of the regional meetings - I could even do a 5 min speaking slot about it if preferred on the agenda.

Regards; Nick
