After the great success of our joint visit to the David Coulthard Museum, we have got our heads together once more to see if any R3 members would be interested in joining R22 on their European Tour 2019. Because of logistics there will be a couple of changes one of them being the ferry crossing. Also for those who do not wish to spend too much time away, you can of course simply join us for the mini cruise and return straight away or return after the visit to Dinslaken and not continue with the second leg. Food for thought. Please add your thoughts and feedback to this thread.

Hi Nick,

I welcome any information, tips or pointers you can give us regarding this tour and would be extremely interested to find out more about your experience.

Best wishes

Greg.

Having done the Dinslaken show in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 I can assure you it is worth the trip.

It is a very laid back and relaxed show with food and drink available from breakfast time onwards, currywurst and strawberry sponge cake is lovely at 8am , the kebabs from 12 onwards are superb.

You can virtually guarantee to see every model of Porsche driving through the gate, there is a small concours event and a 'sound off' ....exhausts not stereos.

The Tryp hotel at Oberhausen is excellent, cars are safe and the carpark will be rammed with Porsche.

A short walk , literally minutes , takes you to the Centro shopping centre, I was there in July this year and it seems bigger every time , bare in mind though that the Bank Holiday 1st May is observed and the shops close so shopping for the girls while the boys do the show isn't really an option, hit the shops afternoon of the 30th is our normal plan.

Attatched to the Centro is 'the promenade' , bars, restraunt's of all varieties, indoor and outdoor seating, there was even a large American car show on when we were there.

My Hull ferry and hotel are booked, I plan to run down to Stuttgart on the 2nd for a couple of days.

Excited already.

cheers, Paul

Pencil me in for this one at the moment. Itinerary is just fantastic. Have to ask a favour at work to swop shifts as I’m down to go to work that day can’t envisage a problem but have to confirm.
