Update PCM maps

I have PCM 3.1 in a 2011 Cayenne S. My current PCM is version v2.20

I upgraded my maps in my 2009 Cayenne a few years ago at a cost of around £150 from memory. Does anybody know if it's worth me doing the update and rough cost these days?

What new features are available?

Many thanks in advance
Leigh

latest maps for PCM 3.1 (in my 911) are 2016 from memory (and same date for PCM 3.0). But talking to a porsche tech recently, I think they're expecting new maps for 3.0 and 3.1 PCM late this year/early next as they update about every 3 years or so on those. Don't know about other PCM versions. would hang on until early 2019 and get latest maps if they come out then if I were you.

Hi macporsche

It it PCM 2.1 or 3.0 on your 2008 GTS?
I got in touch with him and he's offering PCM 3.0 2017/2018 also at £25. I didn't think Porsche had a update for PCM 3 this recent. Mine's a 2009 S, does the disc he provides just slot in or is there a process to go through, do you get 7 digit postcodes or is that a firmware upgrade / not available on the older units?

Thanks Neil

Hi,
I just received a disc from him but no instructions included. Could someone talk me through how to use it please?

Mine is PCM upgrade, only got 1 DVD, what do I need to do? Insert the DVD when car is on? How long does it take?

Just a little warning to anyone considering purchasing anything from rustymidgetman@sky.com - DON'T !! I followed the recommendation above and regretted it soon after, so just need to tell everyone to AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE
This guy is nothing short of a thief in my experience (and plenty of reviews agree with me) Long story short - he took my money (insisted on bank transfer), sent me a generic disc which was useless and then refused to refund me, ignoring all telephone calls, texts and emails.
If anyone needs any info on this con man (name, address, bank details etc) just drop me a line and I will gladly let you know.

I too have purchased discs that have proven useless.
The satnav disc player cannot read the discs from this source.
I have asked rustyman for help / advice but been ignored.
Wasted my money.
Live and learn.
