Christopher can you please when you are all finished and time, put together an article for our columns/feature in PP. With some pictures technical spec and very importantly how the drive differs from a standard 3,2. Oh and cost.

Thanks

So just returned from a snow bound and freezing trip to Chipwizards - driving over the moors to his garage this morning was interesting to say the least.
With 3 inches of snow outside and low ambient air temperature she managed 264 BHP.
So roughly what I expected from just the increase in CC’s and hotter cams (so on par with a 964 at 250 or RS at 260). once it’s loosened and at a higher ambient temperature I would imaging a few more pony’s but I wanted real world drivability and reliability.

If I want more then it’s intake, injectors etc etc 264 is fine by me 👍

Hi with regards to mapping the ECU, try these guys http://www.dynotechrs.co.uk/ they sourced a load and worked through a fair few in getting the best set up for my 3.2.  I replaced a Steve Wong and got some improvements.  They felt it was as good as I could get before changing parts of the exhaust system.

It's been awhile so time for an update.

Next month I will be testing fitting a new kit from Specialized components. These are all the bits, so new programmable ECU, Dizzy delete, MAF, New intake, individual coil packs, new cables, new uprated injectors and I'm sure some other bits and bobs.

Pre installation Dyno is booked on the 28th August, it then goes to Jaz who will fit the kit, then back up to SC who will Dyno and fine tune it and then test drive for a day.
So by the first week in September I should have all the data.

I will do once I have some breathing space, currently implementing a major growth strategy in at work, and also waiting the new kit to be fitted

So first impressions, I like what I have experienced so far.
She starts on the button and immediately settles into a steady idle, there’s no hunting.
Throttle response is instant, as soon as you plant your foot, the power is on.
In lower gears she is very docile and transition between all gears seems smoothers as no snatching or hesitation in catching the revs, she’s very happy in traffic.
In third, fourth or fifth gear, from 2k all the way up to 6k she’s pulls effortlessly, very linear, you feel the torque pushing you into the seat, the punch in the midrange is much more than before.
Other things to be aware of, the kit dispenses with the idler value, so idle is set slightly higher than normal at 1k to prevent any stalling under heavy or sudden braking.
Induction noise may not be to everyone’s liking it's far more pronounced.
Had a little play with a 997.2 C2S on the way home, I think we were both surprised.
Next week a few of us are off to SPA for the 6 hr historic racing so I’ll get a better feel in more challenging roads.
