Hi all,
So after 10 years off porsche ownership, a boxster, boxster s, and now 997.2 4S for the last 6 years which I absolutely think is the best car ever, but thought I would join the club. I live near Dunmow, Essex and wondered are there meets etc the essex region of the club do?
Cheers
Arnie

Hi Arnie - welcome!

You're in luck!
second Tuesday each month, Porsche Club Region 11 - Essex - meets at the Rivenhall Oaks Golf Club from around 7pm.

First Saturday of each month, there's a meet of all types of sports cars at The Hare, Roxwell, near Chelmsford. (Check their interwebs)

But - this Sunday there's a massive meet at Porsche Colchester as part of the Porsche 70th Birthday celebrations. It is also part of a fundraising effort charity, so it's £5 per car, but well worth it when you see the metal that turns up.

Great stuff, Stig and Dean. I will pop up on Sunday to Colchester and look forward to the meets. I work over in Bishops Stortford so if you see a grey 4s reg X10 .... Flying about its me, beep you horn and say hi!

Will do. Ditto if you see a red 981 with 981 on the reg

Hi Guys,
Just a quick note of caution on Sunday. Colchester is VERY oversubscribed and you really need to have registered with the Porsche Centre by now. You may get turned away at the gate if you just turn up. As far as I know they have over 380 cars booked.

If you want to know what is going on in Essex, Martyn and I keep a diary on this page: https://www.porscheclubgb.com/r11 - there is a summary events calendar and more detail if you hit the EVENTS button. There are cars and coffee events at lots of locations - probably one every weekend. I started a list here: https://www.porscheclubgb.com/regions-registers/regions/east-of-england/essex/news/2017/2018/cars-and-coffee-events-2018 but only got as far as the Warren. I promise to update that this weekend!

Next club night Tuesday 12 June at Rivenhall Oaks is "Bring Your Other Car Night". Join us any time from 7:15 onwards. Hope to see you there!

Greg
